AMISH INSPIRATION
When five little girls were gunned down in a
rural Amish Schoolhouse their community responded in a way
that can only lead us to deeper faith.
Though they were grieving,
they had no hatred in their hearts for the perpetrator.
When asked how they were able to forgive,
they said it was with the help of God.

They grieved with them.
The Amish acknowledged that the killer had a sick mind and that
his family must be grieving too.
13 yr old girl Marian Fisher,
the oldest child, asked to
be shot first in a attempt to
buy more time for the police
to save the other children.
Counter
"Father,
forgive them,
for they
do not know
what they
are doing."

- Luke 23:34
Even before they had finished burying their five slain children
Amish residents of rural Lancaster County, Pa., started a charity
fund to help  the mass-murderer's widow and children.
Even in this terrible and difficult situation
they chose to respond with faith, mercy and grace.
""But I tell you who hear me:
Love your enemies,
do good to those who hate
you, bless those who curse
you,
pray for those
who mistreat you.
If someone strikes you on
one cheek, turn to him the
takes your cloak, do not
stop him from taking your
tunic. Give to everyone who
asks you, and if anyone
takes what belongs to you,
do not demand it back. Do
to others as you would
have them do to you. But
love your enemies,
do good to them,
and lend to them without
expecting to get anything
back. Then your reward will
be great, and you will be
sons of the Most High,
because he is kind to the
ungrateful and wicked.
Be merciful, just as
your Father is
merciful
."

- Luke 6:27-31, 35-36

Do not repay anyone
evil for evil.
we are cursed, we
